What People Like

About the Conference

It’s a good well balanced weekend allowing for growing relationships between generations

~ Nate G.

most everything, the time for meditation, time to visit, thought provoking presentations, willingness to try new things, the music

~ Virginia B.

Fellowship and discussion. Collaborative environment.

~ Michael P.

I love getting the opportunity to connect with people in a context that promotes vulnerability and honesty!

~ Sara S.

Activities, exhortations, games, group discussions.

~ Brody D.

Warm atmosphere, so welcoming, and a tried and true program that stands out and promotes our spiritual growth.

~ Casey O.

I absolutely love the casual, non-traditional format—it creates such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and holds space for time and contemplation and personal growth. I also appreciate the flexibility of meals locations. The activities like the polar plunge and breaking of bread felt organic and spirit led.

~ Sonya S.

Love the format, with the ability to share in the group sessions. Love breaking bread with everyone. The setting is beautiful.

~ Bob G.

the peeps, the location, the beach, the birds & lots of food choices

~ Rick S.

It’s informality and yet depth

~ anonymous

Open mindedness, intergenerational togetherness, the size felt intimate and like I could get to know everyone here. A wholehearted spirit. The schedule was really great—enough structure to have a ‘program’ but flexible enough to foster lots of fine grain connection.

I like seeing old friends, and talking about our lives and considering important matters as the year draws to a close.

~ anonymous

Amazing relaxed meaningful spiritual bonding experience.

~ anonymous

I love how relaxed it is, it really feels like a calm and welcoming environment to learn and grow and reset at the end of the year! It’s so wonderful to see friends near and far and make new friends as well! The classes are wonderful and there is also so much time to fellowship and to spend quality time with others.

different style, mixed age discussion groups, the view, everyone and the hall being on the same floor and same area, close proximity to food options

~ anonymous

Fellowship, music, the classes were awesome, the polar plunge

~ anonymous

I like that the talks are shorter and applicable to daily life. I really appreciate that the focus is on community as opposed to the things bible schools focus on.

~ anonymous

Meditations between readings, discussion groups, free time

~ anonymous

It's a really great spiritual focus between the classes and discussion groups!

~ anonymous

Great discussion groups, music, talks, etc, but with the added bonus of the location on the oceanfront, boardwalk, and walkable streets to plenty of nearby dining options. Really appreciated the beautiful way memorial service was handled this year. 10/10 would come again 👌

About the Location

Beautiful, near the ocean, nearer home, great hotel

~ Virginia B.

Convenient, lots of choices for meals within walking distance. The ocean and beach are pristine

~ Bob G.

Lots of things to do within walking distance, so many restaurants, a beautiful beach, and a lovely hotel.

~ Mabel K.

Close proximity to beach, closer to home, hotel is nice, loved the size of our room

~ anonymous

Tons of quality restaurant choices. Great walks. Beautiful beach. Nice hotel. Shopping. Feels very peaceful.

~ Sonya S.

The new location was also amazing! So nice that we could walk to everything, and there were many options for food and activities.

~ anonymous

Walkable to restaurants and shops. Generally more things to do. Beach is beautiful and fun for many.

~ Michael P.

The hotel is very good. I liked that our hotel rooms were all together and steps from the meeting room. Beach front is wonderful and the walkability to a wide range of restaurants is a big plus.

~ Casey O.

Everything! I LOVE that it’s so walkable, we didn’t get in our car once after we arrived, there are so many restaurants and shops, walks on the beach, polar plunge, the boardwalk, it is such a fun location and the hotel was very nice!

~ anonymous

I think overall Rehoboth is an amazing location. Walking to lunch is easy (not having to cross busy roads), and the ocean is RIGHT THERE

~ anonymous

Ocean front balcony!!!! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The views. I always choose nature over the city. Polar plunge was fun and an opportunity to do a  fundraiser for Meal a Day next year. Some great restaurant choices.  And more.

~ anonymous

I like the location as it was new and many people enjoyed the beach. The night beach frisbee and dips in the ocean were awesome

~ James R.

The beach (no matter where it is) is the place I feel God’s presence most easily, so the oceanfront location is hugely appealing. Also, the nice and safe little neighborhood around the boardwalk provides easy access to restaurants. The only thing that was a little concerning was the cost of many of these restaurants, which might make it difficult for some people to attend.

Closer, better hotel, better conference room, better location (beach), new restaurant selection

~ anonymous

The hotel was lovely! Also having food options all within walking distance was great, allowed us all to make sure we didn't have to venture so far off as to potentially be late getting back, etc... Parked my car once and hardly used it the rest of the time.
