Information
When can I register? Is there a deadline?
Registration opens in the fall.
Please register early.
Yes, there is a deadline! Registration closes December 15 so we can create a rooming list and send it to the hotel.
When do I pay?
In order to make sure we can cover the cost of the rooms on the rooming list, we are collecting payment in advance.
Pay in full when you register.
We will add you to the rooming list after you have paid.
How do I pay?
Pay online here.
If you can't pay online, mail us a U.S. check. Contact us for the address.
(Do not pay the hotel.)
What are the rooms like?
You can see pictures of the rooms here. There are a lot of different configurations:
Some rooms have small kitchenettes. All rooms have fridges and microwaves.
Some rooms have balconies.
Some rooms have a sitting room and a sleeper sofa.
Some rooms have an ocean view.
There are a limited number of oceanfront rooms. They cost extra and are subject to availability. You can request one when you register.
Can I bring my dog?
The Atlantic Sands hotel does not allow pets.
The Breakers Hotel nearby does allow pets.
Book a room on your own directly with the hotel (here).
(There are a limited number of pet-friendly rooms so book early.)
What are the rates?
Rates vary:
Children (12 and under): free
Teens and Students: $120 per person (4 nights; shared room)
Adults: $240 per person (4 nights; shared room)
Oceanfront: $340 per person (4 nights; shared room; subject to availability)
Single-occupancy: $480 per person (4 nights; private room)
Part-time: $120 per person per night
Can teens attend without a parent?
Yes, but they need a guardian (over the age of 30) on-site for the entire conference. Tell us the guardian's name when you register.
What do we do for meals?
Right now all meals are on your own.
If you want to save money, we recommend eating in your room, especially for breakfast. Many of us bring food from home or buy groceries in Rehoboth. Aldi ($) and The Fresh Market ($$$) are both 10 minutes from the hotel.
There are lots of restaurants and coffee shops in close walking distance. There are less expensive restaurants a short drive away. And there is a restaurant in the hotel that is open from 8am to 10pm (here is the menu).
What about group meals?
We are looking into options for breakfast. We will see if the 10:30 snack could include more savory foods and fewer desserts. (Apologies to everyone who thoroughly enjoyed the stellar cakes and pastries in 2024.)
We are also considering options for a group dinner at the hotel. Our contract with Atlantic Sands states that if we eat in the conference room, we must use hotel catering. Dinner would cost $35 per person. We might try collecting Group Meal donations in advance when people register. If we collect enough, we can have a group dinner. If not, we could start a Group Meal fund and collect money each year until we have enough for a group dinner.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. Pack comfortable clothes. We are a casual group, even on Sundays.
What should I bring?
Bring fun things for the beach (frisbees, volleyballs, spike ball, footballs, yoga mats)
Bring games (boardgames, cards, cribbage boards, puzzles)
Bring your hymn books (we are not going to project the music)
What about music?
We love participation. Bring your instrument and your percussion box, your music stands and your accompanist books.
We might carol on the boardwalk.
We'd love to see some impromptu hymn sings!
We are not going to project the music so bring your hymn books (GB and PTL).
Are there children's activites?
Yes. There will be activities for children ages 4 to 13 in the morning and in the afternoon.
We need volunteers to run the morning activities. There are three classes each morning. You can teach a traditional class or read stories or play games or practice skits or do artwork or sing songs or watch a Bible Project video or make friendship bracelets. Feeling hesitant? Sign up with a friend.
Do you need donations?
We need to cover the cost of the conference room ($1500).
We also need help subsidizing the teen/student rooms ($700 in 2024).
Ideally we would like to build a fund so we can offer reduced rates for people who request financial assistance. If you want to be part of this endeavor, submit a separate donation earmarked as "financial assistance".
